The Confederation Congress called for a Constitutional Convention because Confederation congress worked brilliantly during the time of war, but they could not work during th peace time. It was time for the formation of a centralized government that would look after the needs of the coutry and its citizens. There was a definite lack of money from the central government as none existed. People had great trouble in buying something if they stayed in another state of the same country. These problems called for the abolition of the Confederation congress and the making of a centralized government.
