What contribution did alexander the great make to the hellenistic civilzation

    Alexander the Great expanded greatly the idea of a hellenistic civilization and was able to unite Greece under one banner, a feat which hadn't been done before him. He mixed hellenistic civilization together with flavours from the - at the time - oriental/asiatic nations.
