What did the pilgrims contribute to American Government

    Some would say the Mayflower Compact, but the real answer is nothing of any substance.

    The Pilgrims really just put in place ideas that had existed for thousands of years (majority rule) and were an incredibly religious intolerant people whose chief accomplishment was treating the native populations terribly and being so terrible to its own citizens that they left and founded Rhode Island and Connecticut.
