Martha is completely disinterested in politics and does not follow current events. She is unaware of the candidates' policy positions and campaign platforms. She does not have opinions on the issues, and when she votes, she will simply vote for the candidate that her husband is supporting. A survey researcher calls Martha and asks her how she feels about Donald Trump's policy position on the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Even though she does not know what NATO is, Martha tells the survey researcher she is in support of the policy. What is the term for the expression of an opinion despite not having a true opinion?

    Answer: Nonattitude

    Explanation:

Nonattitudes is when somone gives an opinion that doesn't have any emotions and attitude to it due to the fact that they may not have sufficient knowledge of the subject. When a person has not educated themselves on the subject it is likely that they may not have much to say about that subject so the opinion that they give is a Nonattitude one; has zero emotions or attitudes. Martha doesn't follow politics which means she doesn't understand the intricacies of politics hence she is likely to have a Nonattitude opinion.
