    The party organization contributes to the strength of the two party system because when a political party is strong from the federal level to the local level it's presence is stronger and will get more votes. Another fact is that the two party system makes people with different beliefs be a part of the same party, this is why Democrats and Republicans have different factions, Democratic Party for example, have the centrist wing, the conservative wing, the liberal wing, the libertarian wing, progressive wing, social democratic, and democratic socialist wings. If the two-party system weren't this strong probably all these wings would make different parties.
