What do henry and victor both decide to study rather than the natural sciences?

    They Studies Oriental languages and avoids the science majors.

    Both of them perceive that their imagination is to vivid to be focusing on science and they also have long-life desire to learn philosophy.

    Because of this, they see study of oriental language (such as Arabic, chinese, latin) would open up a wider path for them to deepen their knowledge on philosophy.

    Henry and Victor both used to study Oriental languages rather than the natural sciences. Oriental language refers to the Asian language. Both of them were strong haters of having any Science majors in their study and has a strong penchant for languages specially for the Oriental that is Asian languages.
