IN united states, selling of replicas from other brand is clearly protected under The Trademark Counterfeiting Act of 1984. Everyone who are caught counterfeiting in united states can be sentenced with up to 10 years of prison times and monetary fines depending on how big the operation is.

This law is not extended to all countries globally. China is the main perpetrator of U. S counterfeit products so far, they take up more than 81% of total United States' pirated product.

It's hard to punish the people who live in different governmental jurisdiction. The best thing that United States and the allies can do is by punishing China with trade policies. But this do very little to hurt China's economy since they can pursue economic relationships with other countries which are not a part of our Alliance.
