    Gold is the most common mineral in Western Africa.

    Explanation

    Ghana is popularly called as the Gold Coast. Though, this news was recently popular as Africa is considered one of the poorest countries.

    They have a large number of mines of Gold.

    Gold is being illegally exported via UAE, making UAE an intermediate channel.

    The bitter fact is that this mineral is taken from the country without paying taxes which could have improved the lifestyle of the country. Records are not available regarding the export.
