    The main difference between Sunnis and Shias lays in who should be the religious leader. The Sunnis think that Muhammad had n rightful heir but the Shias believe that only Allah can select the religious leaders and the successors must be descendants of Muhammad. Both also believe that the Quo ran is the most important text of Islamic faith.
