The correct answer is B.

In a judicial process there are two opossing parties, the defense and the prosecution, who respectively try to prove the accused person innocent and guilty. Moreover, there is an impartial party who oversees the whole adversarial process and, after listening to the two parties, will reach a final decision which is binding.
