Is america's form of democratic govermment the best way for people to govern themselves?

No. Actually the United States of America is a Republic.

It may be a form of democracy but as history proven, this form of government always ends up with corrupt politicians. Democracy may be a nice thing to believe in but unfortunately, it has led to mob rule.
