The Germans invaded the Soviet Union along a front that was approximately 1,800 miles long. Although this strategy was successful in surprising the Red Army, what effect did the extreme weather of 1941 have on the Germans' very long front?

    Though the German's strategy and amount was great as well as adequate, the gear given to them to battle in was completely insufficient for the weather. The Extreme cold mixed with intense flurries was completely unexpected and the Geramn's thought out plan was shot down due to these extreme harsh conditions. Because of the conditions the plan became a complete failure.
