The War Industries Board (WIB) was formed to make sure the US would always be prepared militarily in the future. This departments was established in the year 1917 where companies producing war supplies were encouraged to perform mass-production techniques to increase the overall purchase of war supplies and to eliminate waste in such a ways the products are all standardized.
