One of life's most important decisions is undoubtedly the choice of a new home. After all, there are many variables to consider - location, rent, rental process and especially if you are willing to share an apartment with a roommate or live alone.

A big advantage in having a roommate is the expense split. This is the biggest advantage of sharing an apartment, after all all expenses are divided by the number of tenants and, consequently, you spend less on the expenses of the house. Another advantage is that by spending less, you can rent a better apartment - close to work or college, with recreational areas and better infrastructure.

The biggest disadvantage of having a roommate is, of course, the loss of your privacy. When deciding whether to share space or live alone, you need to assess whether you are willing to lose your autonomy.

One option for having a roomate is to invite a friend to live with you. Many people have questions about whether it is a good idea to share an apartment with friends. However, as long as your friend is a person you are comfortable with and that friend fits your standards, sharing an apartment with him / her would be a good idea.

Relating is very complicated. So, when choosing a person to share an apartment, be calm and careful. Opt for someone you trust who has a similar personality and cultural level to you. If you're an organized and hygienic person, don't want to share a space with someone sloppy. With a person who has a work routine similar to yours, coexistence tends to be more harmonious. After all, if she has to get up early the next day, just like you, she won't be up late into the night. Be careful about living with someone who is very friendly, because too much intimacy can sometimes not be good. If she has the same friendship cycle, your relationship can become a marriage.

My minimum expectations for choosing a roomate would be to choose a person who was clean, organized, quiet and friendly.
