The correct answer is India became more integrated and peaceful.

Invasion of India was carried out by Muslim Turks from the present country of Afghanistan. During the 11th century, these Muslims led brutal surprise attacks against India, murdering Buddhist and Hindu monks and priests and taking slaves and wealth with them. In 1175 A. D., another group of Turks occupied the entire Indian region north of the Decan. Indian territories became Muslim kingdoms - called sultanates - with their capital located in Delhi.
