For dinner, you can have 2 types of noodles, 3 types of salads, or 2 types of meat. Explanation:

probality=no of possible events/total no of outcomes.

    Here, no of movies=5

    no of noodles=2

    no of salads = 3

    or meat=2

    So or here denotes multiplication

Therefore total for number of salads or meat is-3+2=5

From the statement, choosing a dinner and movie are independent events.

So prob of drama is 1/5 (1 drama in total no of 5movies of drama, action&comedy)

Also, prob of noodles is 2/7 (2noodles in total no of 7 of noodles, salad&meat)

Therefore the probalitity of choosing dinner and a movie is = 1/5*2/7=0.4857
