    Answer: In Munich conference (international conference: Germany, Italy, France, Britain) Hitler required Sudentland (western part of Bohemia, Czechoslovaquia with significant German-speaking population) and asked consent of these three powers. Italy, Britain and France agreed ... in fact hoped that like that Hitler's hunger for power will be satisfied. Contrary proved to be true: Munich conference took place in October 1938. Already in March 1939 German army entered Czechoslovakia, occupied all the country and proclaimed "Protektorat Boehmen und Maehren (Protectorate Bohemia and Moravia).

    Explanation: Hitler's behaviour on the international scene proved to be false and British policy of "appeasement" (prime minister Neville Chamberlain) ineffective.
