    The vision with which United States Secret Service was formed, was the motive for investigation of the instances where possibly counterfeit of United States currency have been sought.

    Later to which it was broadened into investigation of perpetual fraud against the government. After the William McKinley was assassinated, their mission was also prolonged to protect the President as well as the President elect.
