Texas government collapsed at the end of civil war.

    Explanation:

The Government of Texas separated from the Union and joined other southern states to form a association. After the civil war, the people of Texas faced a lot of hardships as southern states were majorly affected in the war. The major port at Galveston was blocked by U. S. during the civil war because of which traffic was blocked and people faced hardships as they couldn't export cotton.

After the confederate states were defeated, Texas had to rejoin Union in 1871 and form a new constitution after rejoining completely in 1901.
