    Impluralism is a policy of extending the rule of a country over a foreign countries. This was the case in China in the late 1890s as published in the cartoons. The major powers in the world at that time namely American, Britain, France, and Japan all get involved in the internal conflict in China all in the name of protecting their countries interest. This scenario made it impossible for the Qing Dynasty who were the ruler of China at that time unable to protect the invasion of China from the foreign imperialist. This situation led to the end of the Qing Dynasty in China and the birth of republic of China.
