Tori was able to keep the audience interested by first making herself personal. By opening herself up to be known more intimately by the audience it made it easier for them to relate to her and her experiences. Second, she spoke about things that they are currently experiencing letting them know that she had once stood in their shoes and her experience went on through college, and also what she learned beyond just book learning.
