    The answer to this question is B) Reynolds v. U. S.

    This case involved George Reynolds who was accused of doing a crime and tell the court that he is doing that crime because it is required by his religion. By punishing him, he argued that the government has violated his freedom of religion. Later, the supreme court decided that that religious duty was not a defense to a criminal indictment
