People use a variety of criteria in deciding who they will vote for in an election and why. But common tools that are used in deciding who to vote for are the candidates party affiliation, the views of the political candidate, the political and career record of the candidate, the policies proposed by the candidate, the decision amongst the candidates who run against one another, and also voters often state that they judge the character of the individual that is running for office. These are a few of the many ways in which voters decide who to vote for and why in elections.
