    General Andrew Jackson was an American soldier and statesman and later become the 7th president of the United States of America. He led the United States of America in the first war of the Seminole War between the United States of America and the Seminole, a Native American group who are in the Spanish control Florida. The war occurred between about 1816 and 1858 which later end in which the United States would later took control of Florida. Spain was unable to defend the area because of the numerous uprisings in the area and in the end, the Spanish goverment agrees to cede Florida to the United States of America. The transfer between the two countries took place in 1821.

    General Andrew Jackson briefly served as Florida's first territorial governor and later went on to become the seventh president of the United States of America.
