The things that are considered a member to be middle class in Haiti are a non-manual occupation, a moderate income, literacy, and a mastery of French.

    Explanation:

The term bourgeois is given to the middle-class in Haiti. The term middle class was not in existence before 19th century. The occupation of the US nation greatly made middle class as a well defined one in Haiti. The two main reasons that resulted in the development of this type of class were the professional military creation and government services expansion.

Most of the middle class members were ambivalent and were not secure. In 1980s some of these middle class members gained power politically. There were many conditions for being a member of a middle class. Those were members with who had income moderately, occupation that is no-manual and French mastery.
