The introduction of Mr. Dussel led to conflicting ideas in the Annex, while Mr. Frank was willing to take him in Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan were worried about welcominh him dues to food and space. Shortage of food can become a problem in the Annex, the amount of food was not great and having to feed another person would be complicated. Another problem would be if Mr. Dussel isn't discrete enough and ends up revealing the Secret Annex to the Nazis or to other people.
