    Debriefing is a process in psychological research studies whereby the researcher informs the participant the true nature of the study - its purpose, aims, any deception involved and the justification for why deception was involved. In Juanita's case, the researcher debriefed her after the study by explaining to her why the experiment required deceiving by telling her that her answers were wrong when they were in fact correct.
