The book consists of 13 chapters, which details the advice of mostly believed to be Apostle Paul to the believers to persevere even when persecuted. Though the authorship of this book is not known fully, it is widely believed that Paul wrote it, among his many other letters in the New Testament. At that time, there were numerous instances of persecution faced by the believers, which prompted some to even return back to their original faith, i. e. Judaism.
