Shortfalls: The children that placed within foster care will most likely grow up without maternal love and loss touch with their heritage.

Benefit of Family presevation would be higher chance of children getting necessary care and attention s they grow up.

The Benefits of Permanency planning may out way the shortfalls. The benefits permanency planning removes a child from an unsafe environment. Allowing them to be in a permanent, yet temporary, safe environment. All while parents are given tools to correct the situation in order that the child may return. The shortfall is the child is away from the parents and home. This could cause the child to act out and loose in the development of social skills etc. The Benefits of Family Preservation definitely out way the shortfalls. In this situation child stays with parent and at home. The parent is given the necessary aid to make the home a safe place for the child. Also monitoring the child and the home in case there may be a reason to remove the child. I think these both could be beneficial in different ways depending on the safety of the child to be left in the home with the parents. The shortfall could be the same for both. The child suffering from some developmental issues.
