Describe the four layers of the Earth. In a response of at least three sentences, name at least one important quality of each layer.

The four layers of Earth are the inner core, the outer core, mantle and the crust. The inner core contains the heaviest elements and solid metals. The outer core is liquid and less hot than the inner core. Mantle is the densest part, it is solid but it tends to move causing Earthquakes on the surface of the Earth. The thinnest part is the crust which is different under the ocean and on the continents. It is the coolest of all four and it consists of several plates that are moving.
