The burke family has been in counseling with their 13-year-old daughter, who they complain has been "driving them crazy." if you were their counselor, you might reassure them that things may calm down:

    I believe the answer is: the later teenage years.

    It is very common for teenage adolescents in their daughter age to enter rebellious phase where she might disobeying their parents' rules on purpose.

    This happen due to new desire to fit into a new social group beside her primary family and this behavior would most likely diminish in later teenage years.
