In the 1730s, South Carolina was a valuable British colony that was uniformly frightened by the Spanish in Florida. Georgia's initial role meant to assist as a service "buffer" within the two. In other words, Georgia was designed to protect South Carolina from the Spanish.

The Crown's concern in the colony was to develop trade and capital for England, which expands and increase revenue in the present colonies, and it acts as a military buffer zone preserving South Carolina against the Spanish settlers in Florida

Georgia created as a line of fortification towns, forming a buffer between English settlers in the Carolina and the Spanish in Florida.
