    (A) Its denervation would cause hypersensitivity.

This statement is true regarding the autonomic nervous system

    Explanation:

"Autonomic Nervous system" is the part of "nervous system" responsible for functions which are not directed consciously like breathing, digestive processes and beating of heart. These are carried out without conscious effort by the human.

The "autonomic nervous system" controls "smooth muscle" in the 'walls' of aorta, cardiac muscle and the exocrine glands. It is different from the "somatic" efferent nervous system, which streams "skeletal muscle" in the rectus abdominis. "Denervation" is the loss of nerve supply. In case of "Autonomic Nervous system", the denervated effected organ becomes hypersensitive.
