Why didn't the U. S. open a trade route to China?

    While many possible explanations occur the most probable is that while under the rule of England the colonies had admission to British trade ways and did not essential to found their own. Meaning, they were not allowed to do what they wanted for the reason that they were still in law of the British and they wanted to end the war before moving on since they don’t want to have any relationship with China.
