    The general characteristics of the sensorimotor stage is when children cover birth to two years. Babies will get to know the world through senses and reflexes.

    In this stage, Infants tend to already develop the awareness that the environment around them is a completely different entity than them and would tried to make various effort to understand it (for most infants, they do it by putting objects in their mouth)
