    Southern Homestead Act 1866.

    Explanation:

    The act was passed by Abraham Lincoln which granted land to the people from a deprived background. The main purpose was to get engaged with every person of the U. S. regardless of their status. Also, the act had some flaws which were exploited at the end. However, in 1976 the act was abolished.
