Physical attractiveness, proximity, similarity and reciprocity. With proximity, the nearer two individuals are to another, the more likely they are to develop a relationship. For physical attractiveness, it has been shown to have a great impact on how willing people are to begin a relationship. For similarity, a high degree of similarity is a key factor in measures of attraction and finally expressing love for one another (reciprocity) is likely to form a relationship.

The four primary factors in attraction are the following:

Physical attractiveness: it influences the way in which a potential partner is chosen, although many times is negatively-regarded to state so, people do value physical appearance. Proximity: the more contact you have with a person you consider attractive, the more likely that an emotional bond is built with that person, once you get to know his/her personality. Similarity: which can be in turn divided into different categories: in terms of demographic characteristics, attitudes in life or interests and experiences. Some people tend to value similar characteristics in a partner, although up to a limit because no one want to share life with a person who is identical to oneshelf. Reciprocity of liking: sucess when conveying the message to the person that you consider attractive, and this person declares the same feelings for you.
