What is meant by the basic principle popular sovereignty

    Popular sovereignty has to do with the people choosing who they want to lead the government. It does not have to do with vetoing a bill or regulating trade. Therefore, C and D are eliminated. People don't have that big of a power to alter the government. It has to do with the government being set up as a constitutional republic, because the people have the right to choose their leaders and who represents them. The answer is A.
