    The Battle of Saratoga was fought amidst the Americans and the British during the American Revolutionary War. This battle happened 14 km south of Saratoga, New York. To quickly end this battle, the British generals decided to cutting-off New England from the southern colonies. But, this effort was not quite successful.

    The Americans succeeded in this battle when British General John Burgoyne gave up to General Horatio Gates. The confidence of the American forces was at peak due to this victory. Another outcome of this battle was that Spain united with France in the war against the British Empire.
