    Te answer is "accommodation".

Accommodation is a term created by Jean Piaget who was a psychologist to depict what happens when new data or encounters make you alter your current ideas and schemes. Instead of make the new data fit into a current pattern, you change the scheme keeping in mind the end goal to oblige the new data.
