Traumatic dislocation of this kind occurs when the femur is forced out of its socket by a heavy impact.

In a frontal collision, there is a strong deceleration as the car hits the object, thus, the lower limbs receive the first impact from the crash. If the lap belt is too low, instead of keeping her safe, the strength of the impact will cause the belt to remain too tight and the whiplash will cause severe injuries due to an excess of pressure to that part of the body.

If she is only wearing a lap belt, she will also hit her head against the windshield and will get a severe traumatism.
