On any given day, there is often a story about prayer in schools in the news. For decades people have disagreeing over the constitutionality of prayer in schools. This controversy is a great example of the tension between:

    Explanation:

    Schools have children who come from diffrent families and each family has their own beliefs which may differ from the religion that is used during prayer times in schools. Some parents feel that religion is a private institution and schools are public institutions which should not be mixed with religion.

    They believe having a particular religion in school may isolate those student who come from diffrent religious backgrounds.

    Their belief is that schools should accomodate all students from all different religions whether Baptist, Catholic, Buddhist, Jewish, atheist, agnostic.

    If this doesn't happen then some of these students become a minority group that is dictated by the majority group. Most parents sees this as government not playing a neutral role when it comes to religion.
