    The answer is Ivan Petrovich Pavlov. He was a Russian physiologist acknowledged principally for his work in classical conditioning. From his juvenile days Pavlov revealed intellectual inquisitiveness along with an uncommon vigor which he mentioned to as "the instinct for research".
