A synagogue is a Jewish house of worship and instruction. Attendance to a synagogue often takes place on the Sabbath/Shabbat (the Jewish holy day) which occurs from nightfall on Friday night until nightfall on Saturday night. Kosher foods conform to Jewish dietary restrictions put forth by the Hebrew Bible.
