    The answer is. shaping.

In shaping, we aim to condition the desired behavior by giving the subject a reward gradually after they can finish several parts of the task.

In tennis, this could be done by separating the training, starting from the easiest technique to the hardest technique, in order to make the trainee felt certain sense of accomplishment/improvement.

This approach is an example of shaping. This approach is all about teaching people a desired new behavior and enforcing it so that the behavior is retained. By teaching the students using components the teacher is making sure the students understand the desired behavior and able to implement it when they play tennis. Rewarding the students for performing the desired behavior would be advised since shaping encourages it.
