How was enlightenment different from the great awakening?

    The Enlightenment was a period of time where old ideas were challenged, and new ideas were considered. Philosophers and scientists believed that, through reason, changes could occur. The Great Awakening was a reaction against some of the ideas being emphasized in the Enlightenment.
