What was the outcome after Thomas Paine published "common sense" in 1776?

    The colonists were encouraged that it was time to break away from Britain. Thomas Paine made it clear that instead of fighting for it, they should ask for it. (Although the whole country ended up having a revolution)

    This is when people started questioning their freedom and wanted to get their independence. They moved away from Britain because they wanted freedom, so imagine how mad they were when they were still under control despite the fact both countries were 3000 miles away.
