    D. Which heavenly body is casting a shadow.

A lunar eclipse is when the earth is in between the sun and the moon, so it shadows the moon. Therefore all of the light seen is refracted through the earth’s shadow. This results in an orangish colored moon.

A solar eclipse is when the moon gets in between the earth and the sun. In a total solar eclipse the moon completely blocks the sun and all the light you can see is a ring around the moon called the umbra.
