    The hypothesis of contact starts from the assumption that, through the approximation of the prejudiced subject and his victim, there would be a perception of similarities in several sectors, such as like values, ideas and emotions. Contact can reduce prejudice in some cases, such as seen in his study of anti-Semitism; however, when it is an extreme prejudice, rooted in deep unconscious sources, simple contact is not enough for its reduction.
