Perhaps, in America, teachers could be more understanding if you fail. For instance, in numerous American and European universities, teachers understand if you suffer from exam-related anxiety and are able to re-schedule your exam, while in China this could be unacceptable. In China, teachers would expect my behavior to be impeccable as discipline is extremely important. While discipline is important in America, it is not as formal as in Chinese schools. In contrast to American schools, Chinese schools don't usually accept visitors. Therefore, they would expect me to not receive visits; whereas in American schools it is normal to receive friends or family and access the school.
